Sibling Influence on Sexual Experience

The study was designed to measure the effect of gender of older siblings on their sibling’s sexual activity. Participants (N = 50, 50 % female) completed a questionnaire on the number of older or younger siblings and their level of sexual experience. Only one significant relationship was found: females with an older same-sex sibling (sister) were more likely to have had an oral sex experience (p =.005) than females with no older same-sex sibling. This suggests that the gender of the older sibling on their sibling’s sexual experience may not have a great affect on all sexual activities, but may influence certain ones. Sibling Influence,
