Rb-Sr isotope evidence indicates that deformation in the border zone between the Archaean craton and the Nagssugtoqidian mobile belt in West Greenland took place both during the late Archaean (at ca. 2600 Ma) and during the Proterozoic Nagssugtoqidian orogeny (1850-1600 Ma).
