Abstract: The objective of this paper is to present recent results within an investigation on human respiratory mechanics. The overall aim is to provide a fast method for identification of airway mechanics, in order to assist the medical staff in obtaining a diagnosis of the patient. Some ideas for a novel detection of respiratory mechanics parameters are presented, as well as preliminary experimental results, indicating the future potential of the method. Copyright © 2005 IFA
