In order to reinforce Orthotropic Steel Deck (OSD) against fatigue, Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) pavement has been researched. Stress at root of trough rib weld is reduced by SFRCpavement because it eases local bendingof the deck plate by composite action to the deck. One of concerns is durability of SFRC, especially its cracked area above locations of web plate of OSD. PWRI has been conducting wheel running tests to evaluate fatigue durability of SFRC pavement by using real size specimen. Influences of cracks and water are taken into account for the test, but decrease of tensile strength of the pavement was not observed after 2million times of wheel runningwhose second halfwas inwet condition.
