This research was intended 1) to study information needs, information seeking and the purposes of busi-ness information uses by industrial firms in 14 southern provinces, 2) to compare the business information needs and information seeking of industrial firms categorized by size and type of industries, 3) to study the problems involving business information seeking encountered by these industrial firms. 371 questionnaires were sent out, 180 question-naires were completed by executives or executive representatives of the industrial firms. It was found that 1) The needs of business information by the medium and large industrial firms were not different.
