Good designs are featured by the use of efficient technology and by the passive uses of renewable energy, as daylighting. In situations where the direct light values are low or in points where it is not possible to visualize the sky, the internally reflected light (IRC) might be the answer. The present work aims at tackling the IRC contribution inside the buildings through theoretical models with geometric variations and surfaces reflectances. The results obtained in these models are compared with measurements in the scale model of a real building performed under a mirror- box artificial sky.
