A preliminary configuration design is presented for a satellite bus designed to operate in formation to achieve a larger sensor based on the sparse aperture concept. A 30kg mass and a 25W payload average power are assumed as design driver, which lead to two body mounted solar array configurations based on Multi-Junction GaAs solar cells. 1
