Abstract—The modern expansion of public streaming has played a considerable part in the growth of distributed multime-dia, with special reference to video. However, since the Internet is an inter-connected web of different network speeds, streaming video is still a difficult service to implement to all locations. This paper illustrates two simple simulated network streaming environments. The first models a broadcast network and the second model represents a multicast network. A simple cache system is then implemented into these models to investigate whether a significant difference exists between the cache size and the different network bandwidths of these two optimization systems.
