COURSE SYLLABUS

This course takes an in-depth study at culturally relevant methods and organizational systems designed to grow healthy churches in the 21st century. The importance of developing vision and turning vision into reality will be examined. OBJECTIVES 1. The student will be able to identify the characteristics and qualities of a healthy minister and will develop a personal growth plan for the next twelve months. 2. The student will describe key Biblical concepts relating to church mission and purpose and how that affects ministry today. 3. The student will be able to identify best practices of contemporary growing churches, especially ones related to developing a unique vision for ministry and how to cast, or recast and reengineer that vision. 4. The student will be able to identify church systems designed to maximize church growth and health. 5. The student will be able to describe and evaluate different styles of church strategies. 6. The student will be able to conduct case studies of current dynamic churches both in and out of class
