In this chapter we document the disaggregation of the input-output (I-O) tables. This is the major step undertaken in our in-house processing of the tables (for an overview of the processing, see chapter 11.A). It takes place after some initial clean-ups and adjustments, and before the synthesis of the composite region tables (chapter 14), further minor adjustments, and the fitting of the I-O tables to external data (chapter 19). While we use a 57-sector classification for the GTAP 6 Data Base, many countries ’ input-output source statistics do not support such detail.
