A diverse assemblage of calcareous algae was recorded from the Moscovian–Gzelian Kap Jungersen and Foldedal Formations in Amdrup Land and Holm Land. The flora, consisting of 25 species, is dominated by rhodophytes and chlorophytes, most of them similar to or identical with species previously recognised in the Sverdrup Basin of Arctic Canada. One new genus and species, Groenlandella enigmatica n.gen. et n.sp., has been erected and is apparently endemic to the Wandel Sea Basin.
