A carbon paste electrode modified with zeolite was employed for quantities of copper from aqueous solutions. Copper (II) was chemically deposited on the zeolite modified carbon paste electrode (ZMCPE), and the electrode was transferred to an electrochemical cell for cyclic and square wave voltammetry. The response depends on the concentration of copper in the bulk solution as well as parameters involved in both the preconcentration and the measurement steps. The calibration graph is linear related to the concentrations of Cu2+ in the range from 0.064-64.0 mgl-1 with very good correlation coefficient.
