A band separation technique to obtain ADC distortion power measures is considered. Re-sults show that Gaussian signals fit theoreti-cal curves but are not very sensitive to com-mon ADC errors while uniform signals con-form to theory and are sensitive to errors, e.g., NPR measures 0 dB below peak for a Gaussian signal whereas the measure is 5 dB below peak for the uniform signal when an 8-bit ADC having 7 effective bits is used for the test
