The suppression of multibunch instabilities driven by high-er order modes (HOM) of the rf-cavities is one of the challenges of third generation synchrotron radiation sources. A cavity with three radial waveguides for HOM-damping has been proposed by Concaurio and Arcioni. We have studied a very simple configuration based on a 500 MHz pill box with three circular waveguides. Numerical simulations and measurements of a low power model cavity are presented.
