This paper reports on a new islanding detection method for 3-phase grid-connected photovoltaic system. The proposed approach induces the 3-phase inverter output current amplitude unbalance between the phases using an additional single-phase inverter for islanding detections. This method has benefits such as the non-deteriorations of both the power factor and THD, grid over-voltage detection and stiffness to swell, sag, swells, undervoltages etc. Performances of the proposed method are verified by computer simulations with an islanding phenomenon
