Abstract: Despite the proliferation of computers in schools, however, computers are not used adequately in schools (Cuban, 2001). Most of the teachers use computers for writing term papers, preparing tests and for tutorials as well as drill and practice (Flanagan & Jacobsen,2003) Hence, the full potential of computers are not fully explored and utilized in ways that will be beneficial to students. One influential factor is the role of teachers. This paper attempts to describe the conceptual framework for understanding that role and a research based on that framework. It opens new lines of research about the crucial roles of teachers in the adoption of ICTs
