Malignant hyperthermia is one of the most commoncause of death in anesthetized pa-tients, although mortality has decreased over the last 20 years from 80 % to less than 10% (Kaplan, 1991). Previous experiments have shown that the hyperthermia is associated with an increase in oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production (Honda et al., 1980)
