Hard exclusive production in deep inelastic lepton scattering provides new access to the poorly known Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) of the nucleon. Different observables for hard exclusive production of photons and mesons have been measured by the HERMES experiment. Emphasis is given to recent results which help determine the total angular momentum of quarks in the proton. International Workshop on Diffraction in High-Energy Physics-DIFFRACTION 2006
