This study investigated whether student reactions to and perceptions of academic group work differed based on the student’s citizenship. When compared to students who were citizens of the U.S.A., international students perceived their own performance to be lower. International students who were undergraduates also perceived higher communication difficulties within their groups than did non-international students, but no such difference was found among graduate students
