Real-Time Scheduling Algorithms are an integral part of dependable real-time systems design and implementation. Schedulability tests, deadlock conditions, and priority inversion concepts need to be carried out and investigated using a given set of applications. An interactive simulation and test environment for real-time scheduling (I-SITER) has been implemented and is being used throughout real-time systems and computer science courses taught at the Carinthia Tech Institute. Using I-SITER, the user can specify a set of tasks, choose appropriate scheduling algorithms, and extensively simulate their behavior
