2It is very good to be here today to discuss these issues with an eye towards what we can do together as we move forward. I first became very personally involved with some of these issues when I worked in a Cambodian refugee camp in Thailand in 1980 and saw the devastating effects on physical, mental, and social health on the Cambodian people-- not only of war, but also of genocide that had occurred in Cambodia over the previous 5 years.
