Objective: Report the results of hyperglycemia in the patients with acute cerebral infarction. Material and Method: A retrospective review of 231 patients who presented with the syndrome of acute cerebral infarction at Ratchaburi Hospital from January 1,2000 to December 31,2004. Patients data, diagno-sis, blood glucose, and underlying disease were collected from medical records (n = 231). Results: Hyperglycemia is defined as the blood glucose level of more than 140 mg/dl.
