Czech Republic – the type material of spiders (Araneae)

A b s t r a c t. A survey of spider species described by Czech authors is given. Czech arachnologists partic-ipated in creating 261 species-group names for spiders. In total, 185 of these names are valid at present. The material of 111 taxa is available in the National Museum in Praha, in other museums and in private collections.
