(Communicated by Stefano Boccaletti) Abstract. Complete synchronization between two Hele-Shaw cells is exam-ined. The two dynamical systems are chaotic in time and spatially extended in two dimensions. It is shown that a large number of connectors are needed to achieve synchronization.
