NEW β-DIKETONATES OF QUINQUEVALENT ANTIMONY

It is known that tetraarylantimony β-diketonates can be directly synthesized from pentaarylantimony and β-diketone. In this case it takes only one stage to obtain the product, its excretion is not labor-consuming, and the yield is rather big [1]. However, reactions of pentaarylantimony with γ-substituted β-diketonates are investigated only for interaction of pentaarylantimony with γ-chloroacetylacetone [2], γ-allyl, γ-ethylacetylacetone [3] and γ-phelylacetylacetone [4]. Interaction of pentaphenylantimony with β-diketones, containing in α-position a fluorine-containing substituent, has not been previously studied. In the course of the investigation of reactions pentaarylantimony with β-diketones we have studied the interaction of pentaphenylantimony with such β-diketones as γ-acetyloxyacetylacetone, γ-thiobutylacetylacetone, pivaloyltrifluoroacetone and naphtholoyltrifluoroacetone. It is shown that the only organo-antimony reaction product is β-diketonate of tetraphenylantimony with the yield up to 99%.
