Medical/biological use of fullerenes is one of the most promising. This is due to the sphericity of the molecule that is undamaging for a living organism, and besides water-soluble fullerene derivatives bearing specific functionally active groups. The technique developed to prepare water colloid solution of the native hydrated fullerenes [1] has made it possible to study the mechanism of their proper biological activity in model systems as well as applied to specific macromolecules and biosystems.
