Abstract: The technical success and availability of numerical algorithms have promoted the implementation of tomography to atmospheric sciences. The principal specific character in initial constraints, data collection and assimilation methods, obtaining the final numerical results and interpretation of these makes the continuation of the success story for GPS-tomography very challenging. Numerical simulation is the most time- and money efficient way to study different processes connected with tropospheric water vapour tomography.
