Abstract:-Computational grids can aggregate huge numbers of resources to support distributed supercomputing. The dynamic and heterogeneous characteristics of computational grids make it much more difficult for programmers to execute an application as they do in a traditional environment. Applications are also prone to error because of the instability of grids. Instrumentation is an important way to exclude the runtime errors of parallel programs. In this paper, we build an execution environment for grid applications, in which programmers can submit jobs conveniently. An instrumentation facility is also included for analyzing the execution of grid applications. The overhead of instrumentation is reasonable
