In reinforced concrete structures, the bonding between concrete and steel bar is one of the most important factors that enable these two different materials to work together. In order to derive a better understanding of the bond properties and to apply it to the damage model of concrete, a new type of bond-slip test has been developed in this study. From the test results, the constitutive relationship of bond-slip is obtained and then used in the finite element analysis. The computation results are found to be consistent with the test results. Hence, this constitutive relationship can be applied in the numerical analysis. Besides, the distribution of the slip field and bond stress field is also obtained from the numerical computation. The s...
