This article discusses evaluation results of a non-school related robotic workshop for an intercultural group of children aged between nine and thirteen. The focus is on the connection between gender, didactical concepts and the technology/material used in the course. The role of gendered materials in shaping and directing the children`s action as well as the didactical concept to deal with gendered technologies is analysed.
