This article is concerned with what a teacher can do with individual differences in language learning. In the first part, some of the most important differences will be briefly discussed. The second part examines two options, among others, available to the teacher in approaching the problem. More specifically, the article centers around whether a teacher who is sensitive to individual differences should adapt her/his teaching to the learners, modify the learners to learn or stick to a combination of the two.
