The study seeks to develop an understanding of the need for emerging economies like Nigeria to make use of strategic alliances. Nigeria is an emerging market in the developing economy in West Africa. The four fundamental forces developed by the World Competitive Yearbook are used as frame of reference to assess how to manage the economic future of a nation. The world economic does not only measure the economic performance but these four fundamental forces shape the countries competitive environment that characterizes an economy and anticipates how it behaves.
