The paper presents the solution to the properties of stochastic response of a system with two degrees of freedom modelling the behaviour of a slender structure being prone to the loss of aeroelastic stability. The behaviour of the structure is modelled mathematically by a system of two non-linear stochastic diff-erential equation of second order of Rayleigh type. The system being autoparametric enables semitrivial solutions. The tool of the study of stability and its type consists in the stochastic version of Lyapunov function. It is constructed as an energy first integral of the original system. Special attention is afforded to the structure response in various stability domains, in transition and post-critical states
