Preliminary experiments to study the aero-acoustic interaction in a corrugated pipe subjected to axial flow are reported. A number of pipes of different diameters, lengths and corrugation pitches and shapes are tested. Results are presented in the light of previous work and the aero-acoustic instability Strouhal numbers are evaluated. We notice that not a single value St is applicable for all tested tubes and discuss the qualitative differences observed. 1
