In this paper, we use the setup proposed by Balakrishnan and Ag-garwala (2000) to compute approximate best linear unbiased estimates (ABLUEs) of the location and scale parameters of the Weibull distri-bution. Further, we derive approximate maximum likelihood estimates (AMLEs) of the location and scale parameters of the Weibull distribu-tion. Finally, we carry out a simulation study to compare between the techniques considered for the estimation
