Recent research suggests combining partial transmit se-quences (PTS) to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). ITS involves forming several blocks of carriers and mul-tiplying each by a constant phase factor. The phase factors are optimised to minimise the peak signal power. This paper proposes a new optimisation criterion for this pur-pose and provides simulation results to show the achiev-able peak factor reduction
