Ubiquitous computing can be considered a reality since mo-bile devices are part of the lives of millions of individuals and embedded computers are present everywhere in the urban fabric. But now a new leap forward is possible by exploiting intelligent sensing technologies based on these devices and the nearly constantly available wireless connectivity, at least in urban areas, thanks to cellular and WiFi technologies.
