to bring together researchers from all disciplines in academia, government and industry to develop a better understanding of Chinese agricultural markets. The objectives of WCC-101 are to facilitate joint research and the exchange of ideas; to develop a historic and current information database on China; and to assess long term market opportunities with China. Participation in WCC-101 is open to those with an interest in Chinese agricultural marketing. The authors invited to present papers at the symposium represent a wide range of expertise and knowledge of Chinese agriculture. The resulting collection of papers should provide background and stimulate interest in research on agricultural markets in China. WCC-101 is administered from the IMPACT Center at Washington State University and much of the support is provided by Charli Hochsprung who for some reason seems to enjoy the work involved in tracking committee personnel and publishing this proceedings.
