Google is a company that is world famous for having the most popular search engine on the internet. This paper looks at the technology that Google use to bring such fast and reliable service. It covers some background about the internet and previous search engines, moving onto look at how a Google query is resolved, taking an in depth look at the PageRank algorithm that Google use to order their search results.
