FIPA (Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents) is a stan-dardization organization promoting development and specifi-cation of agent technologies. This paper describes an ongoing technical work within FIPA enabling FIPA-compliant agent systems to operate in mobile ad hoc environments. The goal of this work is to provide a high-level framework for efficient interoperability of software services provided by FIPA agents in these environments. 1
