Ala~ntct--Tbe performance haracteristics of two activated carbons and eight synthetic adsorbents are compared. The comparison addresses both the equilibrium capacities and mass transport properties of the adsorbents. A new empirical adsorption isotherm is employed for description of adsorption equilib-rium data.
