Abstract – This paper provides the modelling metho-dology and the associated results of simulating wind power production time series, based on numeric wind prediction models and wind speed measurements. The goal is to set up a high resolution model, being able to calculate distri-buted large scale wind power production which can be used as an input for power system simulations. Using the example of Denmark and Germany, the model’s output is compared with TSO (Transmission system operator) pro-duction data and results from the EU project TradeWind.
