About the APS The Australian Psychological Society (APS) welcomes the opportunity to provide input into the review of school counselling services in NSW public schools. The APS is the main national body for the profession of psychology, with over 20,000 members of registered psychologists. Members are supported within the APS by 9 professional specialised Colleges, 41 Interest Groups and 40 Branches throughout Australia. A significant number of APS members (around 1300) are school psychologists who provide a counselling, assessment and specialised support service to students in NSW.
