The first part of this report describes the current state of the JOMP, a definition and implementation of a set of directives and library methods for shared memory parallel pro-gramming in Java. The rest of the paper focuses on efficiency of the current implementation. Two sets of benchmarks were implemented using JOMP, and the overheads of the synchronisation con-structs as well as performance of some computationally intensive, real-world applications was measured
