The CIVPRO Civil Protection Network is an international group of civil protection experts and institutions fostering research and collaboration in risk management, emergency preparedness and civil protection. CIVPRO was established in 2006 by the EUROBALTIC II Project for Civil Protection, an initiative of the Council of the Baltic Sea States supported by the EU Interreg IIIB BSR programme. After its establishment, CIVPRO’s activities have expanded from the Baltic Sea Region to collaboration with a wide variety of actors at both the European and global level, in order to promote comparative perspectives and synergies between different regions.
