Summary: The Computational Grid is an infrastructure for providing access to distributed high-end computational resources. Therefore, it enables the execution of computationally de-manding applications. One of the key problems in building such an infrastructure is to decide which jobs are to be allocated to which resources at what time. A promising approach for solving this problem is the use of market mechanisms for allocating and scheduling these re-sources. This contribution outlines the design and implementation of a family of market mechanisms for allocating and scheduling computer resources in the Computational Grid
