This document comprises one of the two main deliverables from SynEx Work Package 2- Norway SynEx Validation. The objective of WP2 is to design and implementation a platform for software components that can be used to make clinical information available to health professionals using the paradigm of shared, distributed electronic patient records, based on the principles established by CEN/ENV 12265 and Synapses, and using the object-oriented paradigm and industry standard technology. As a proof of concept, WP2 includes a demonstration of how the platform and its support for shared, federated healthcare records can be used to support the continuity of cardiovascular care for patients that are examined at one of the verification hospitals (SiA)...
