This invention relates to polymerization and more par ticularly relates to an improved method for polymerizing propylene at elevated pressure. Heretofore propylene has been polymerized to rela tively low molecular weight polymers by the use of such catalysts as phosphoric acid on kieselguhr. ‘However, there has been no effective process available for prepar ing high molecular weight polymers of propylene, which polymers are potentially useful as lubricating oil addi tives,?lm-forming materials and for the manufacture of molded articles.
