pluripotent stem cells represent a unique reservoir that could be utilized for generating cells of a given lineage. Cancer immunotherapy field could benefit from this, since one of the key limitations in developing an effective immune based cancer therapy is the lack of sufficient high avidity anti-tumor T cells in a great majority of cancer patients. The main reason for this is the fact that most human tumor antigens are "self-antigens " and most self reactive high avidity T cells are deleted during development to avoid autoimmunity.
