First of all, you should get an overview of your subject area by studying the cited foundation literature. Next, you should elaborate your own topic enquiry. It is important that you develop your own line of argumentation in the seminar paper. More is required of you than just a simple summary of the literature! You should introduce your own ideas in the paper, develop them and convincingly defend them. Your topic argument should be formulated in terms an enquiry. When determining your topic title, be careful to ensure that it is not too broadly formulated. 2 Researching the literature Your research of the literature should not be limited to the basic literature that was recommended for your topic: you should also consult articles in specialist journals. Textbooks and reviews will help you to gain an initial grounding in your specialist area, but these sources will not be su ¢ cient on their own.
